Organizational Culture and Employee Performance: An In-Depth Empirical Analysis

Abstract

In Singapore Telecommunication, the organizational performance is closely linked to the organization culture. This research has made significant progress in identifying the ways in which organizational culture influences employee performance. Measuring the study's main objective is to determine how business culture affects worker performance. A pilot test was conducted to verify the validity, reliability, and normalcy of the structured questionnaire, which was constructed based on previous research. Based on this research, employee performance is the dependent variable Values, symbols, heroes, and ritual were among the independent variables used to gauge corporate culture. With a scale of 1 denoting disagreement and 5 denoting agreements, a survey questionnaire of 25 items was utilized for this study project. This was done in a Singaporean telecommunications business using an easy sample method, with a total of 150 individuals 60 senior employees and 40 younger employees made up the sample. SPSS 20 was used to do a descriptive data analysis for this study's objectives. This research indicates that corporate culture including ritual, values, and heroes has a large and noticeable impact on workers' performance. It also demonstrates that the performance of employees is either minimal or unaffected by symbols, this shows that workers' production is not much impacted by symbols. However, more research on this issue may be done utilizing other firms with varied organizational culture systems. This study has shown that regular ritual activities inside the company have a substantial and favorable influence on workers' performance.
